Nclex and eye problems

I have a question about taking the test. I graduate this May and was worried about taking the test because I have problems sitting at a computer for long hours and reading whats on the screen. I have had no problems taking test in school or with patient care but ith computers I usually have to enlarge the page or make the font bigger to see. Can you do that for the Nclex? I looked into accomadations but it seems like a lot of paperwork to get, and I dont want anyone thinking I would be an imcompetent nurse.Any advice?

My advise is to write down the questions on the pad that is given to you. A classmate of mine stated that is what is did because she was used to using paper and pencil and it was hard for her to get use to the computer. She had 75 questions and passed. It took her 4 hours but she said she got a better understanding of the question that way.

If you can do the paperwork for special accommodations, I would do that if it is available.

I don't think that writing down each question would necessarily be good as you'd be using valuable time and the exam just might time out on you.

It might time out on you regardless of how you take the test, but if there are special accomodations and you have time to apply for those do so. Good luck on the NCLEX.
