Nclex application in CA

I just passed the local board and iam planning to apply for Nclex in California. do i need to write a written explanation on why I do not have a license yet? should I just attach my typewritten explanation in the form? thank you very much..

and what should I choose in the form which states type of nursing program if I just graduated as BSN.. is it diploma or baccaleureate degree? thank you, sorry it's my first time I don't know what to do.. thank you... help pls...

Thread moved to International Forum as it is specific to foreign nurses. Please take the time to do some reading on this forum, your question has been answered mutliple times already.

And just to clear up a few things, you cannot apply for the NCLEX exam, there is no way to do that. You must actually have approval fron a Board of Nursing to sit for that exam, hence, no way to apply for it. You will be applying for licensure as an RN to the state where you wish to get licensed, the exam is only one part of the process.

Please take the time to do some reading here, expecially the Primer at the top of this forum, there is much information that you need to have. Including all that you will need to do to be able to work in the US. We do have a retrogression in place, so expect it to take quite a bit of time to get thru the immigration process.

The BSN is a baccalaureate, you do not have Diploma programs in your country. The only acceptable degree in your country is the BSN if the nurse wishes to get licensed there.
