Hello all, I don't graduate till next year but I've heard a million times it's never too early to study for Nclex so I decided to take the advice. I downloaded the Nclex PN mastery app on my phone and have been using that so far. Is anyone familiar? Was it helpful? I've been going through and I'm pleasantly surprised that I'm answering a good amount of the questions correct from prior knowledge but I want to know if the app is actually relevant or a waste of time. Give me suggestions on what books I can purchase to help study. Also I ordered and received "Medical Dosage Calculations For Dummies"in the mail today , did anyone purchase this was it helpful? At my school everything is electronic so our books get loaded onto iPads for certain things I actually want a hard copy just to reference in the future so even if you have book suggestions and it's not directly in relation to Nclex or dosage calculations and you think it's a great book please leave the name below.
Thank you

I used NCLEX mastery to study for my NCLEX pn. The app helped me immensely. Because I could use it when offline and the lab mnemonics and the sortable flash cards.
I tried to do 3500 practice questions before my NCLEX. I used the materials my school provided, NCLEX mastery and another $5 app.
I only was able to do about 2500 questions, but did pass the first time with 85 questions.
Hope this helps!!
I just read more of your post. Actually the materials provided by my school, Kaplan, were most similar to the actual test. Both in format of the computer screen as well as content.
I only had 1 simple basic math question. I had tons of sata.
But the NCLEX mastery was awesome for presenting me questions in a different manner as well as helping me memorize lab values!
If you want to go hard, buy the Hearst review. My best friend in school swears by it. I didn't have the money to spend on it, I believe it was several hundred dollars.
Thanks for your feedback!
