I would suggest checking Suzanne's sticky 2008 version of Suzanne's plan, many have passed with it

I failed my 2nd exam and felt desprate and prayed for help. I found :an!: and got plenty help. I have yet to schedule my 3rd exam, but not until I know I am ready because I'm scared too. :chair: I'm using Suzanes Plan this time.:smmdi:

Hi,I'm also desperate. I'm preparing to take the exam for a 2nd time and it's difficult to start studying again. I plan to use Suzanne's guide to prepare for NCLEX this time around. I studied soooo diligently the first time that failing came as a shock. Please give tips on what's keeping the 2nd and 3rd time text takers motivated.

How did u study the first time, meaning what review course? How many days? How many questions a day?

Hi Innocenteyes,I studied some from Saunder's, Kaplan and I also attended Martin's review course. Many of us who prepare for Nclex wind up spinning our wheels by using too many differents sources. I tried to complete at least 50-75Q daily 2-3 days per/wk and I stuided for about 3 months. This time I want to focus my studying by using Suzanne's plan. But I'm having a little difficulty reading the entire book from cover to cover. I guess if it means I'll pass Nclex the next time around it's worth it. When I received my texting info back from the boards it showed that I was above passing in one area and near passing in all the others. Sometimes, I think I blew the text by getting distressed when the exam did'nt stop at 75 questions. I felt so dissapointed that I allowed myself to lose focus and instead of answering all 265Q I only answer 175 because of nervousness.

Hello angie my name is Jolene, dont feel bad Im in the same boat as you.I retake 3rd time here in march but not if Im not ready.Dont know what im doing wrong either, good luck to you

Yes i have heard the suzzans plan is really good. I wish you all the best.

Well for the first two I used Saunders, Kaplan and a variety of pharmacology books! For the first one, I read the entire Saunders book and made noteson every chapter. When I had done that, I started revising and answered at least 500 questions every day for about 3 months!! It was a shock when I found out I had failed coz I had put so much into it. It is difficult to stay motivated knowing you have to do all that work again and again. I would just suggest that you give yourself adequate time away from the books and anything to do with NCLEX until you are ready. There is absolutely no point starting to revise again if you're still feeling angry/upset or dispondent! You have to get your 'second wind' so to speak!! :-)

I think for my third attempt I am going to try to follow Suzannes plan. I have already done most work from the Saunders book so it shouldnt be too bad. I am not going to rebook until May coz I need a rest from it and am going to treat myself to a holiday - hopefully will come back ready to start again!!

Good luck to everyone, will keep you updated in revision progress!
