NC1 Info needed

Hi, to all. I am new to this forum, and new excelsior college student. I am useing Rue Study Guide. Any information on NC1 test would be appriciated.

I am wanting to test, I have put off testing, have read alot of negative at other

post about how hard to test is. Anyone with information would sure be appreciated. I also have read alot about the fact that I should have purchased EC books. It's too late now, I already signed to buy from Rue. I work in a large

hospital med-surg floor, 12 hour shifts. Thanks Linda

I joined these and a few other Yahoo groups about a year ago. I agree, the notes and linked information available one these sites are tremendous. However, the way yahoo works the BB is outdated. Many of these groups have moderators and unlike here on allnurses, EVERY message has to go through a moderator before it's posted. I'm sorry to say at least a dozen times I have submitted a message to these boards and they were never posted but came back to me with a message indicating the "moderator" had not reviewed the message in 14 days and would therefore not be posted.

That is a huge disappointment and waste of time. If I post a question today here on allnurses, I can bet money I will get an answer the same day. WIth my busy schedule I don't have time to sit for days, weeks waiting for someone to reply. I might as well write a traditional letter and send it snail mail!! :rotfl:

So I encourage everyone studying to hit the Yahoo groups for the notes because they are very helpful and many folks put a great deal of time and effort into them but if its interaction and answers to specific questions, allnurses is the place.

Just FYI, the allnursesstudents yahoo group does not require moderator approval for posting, posts should come up right away. Still, since this site has such a high volume of people hanging out, you will most likely get an answer much quicker here if you are in a hurry (& you can't find what you are wanting in the files at the Yahoo group). :)
