Hello! I am just wondering if there are any Navy Nurse (current and former) around whom I can ask a question about recruitment. I am 34 y/o, foreign-educated RN with a BSN and just recently learned and got really interested in Navy Nursing. Just some honest opinion from you guys, is 34 yrs of age too old to join? I am also in my MSN program for an NP program (about 1 yr left), will this be in the way of training(s) if ever? And what other things (aside from being physically fit and knows how to swim) does one need to know? Thank you so much!

If your BSN is from a foreign school, you aren't currently eligible — all branches require CCNE or ACEN accreditation that is only awarded to US schools. Are you a US citizen?
Yes, I am a US Citizen now. Good to know about the US schools accreditation is needed. I think the Navy recruiter is about to contact me in the next day or so and I will ask him about that. Thank you Pixie.RN!

Typically, foreign-trained nurses have to get an MSN (or another BSN) in the U.S. to apply.
