Nau Nursing Spring 2016

Published

Hi everybody, I decided to start this post because I spend all day everyday looking for answers that will calm my nerves about applying to yet another nursing school program. I currently have all of my prerequisites complete and I have a GPA of a 3.75 (is that GOOD?). I have not taken my Kaplan yet so I am hoping some people that have already take it can comment on her and give their advice on hard it was and what the best study materials are. It helps me to hear other peoples stories so I can kind of base my situation off of theirs. I'm hoping that my GPA is good enough and if I get at least a 85 on the Kaplan that I will get into the Tucson location. With only 20 spots available it just makes me a little nervous. I want this to be a post where anybody can post question and get answers in order to clear up confusion, or help people who are like me and just need some reassurance on their GPA and Kaplan score.

Good luck getting in! I graduated from this program last December and it's great. Study hard for the science portion of the Kaplan, also there's an English/grammar section on the Kaplan that wasn't in the study guide at all, so brush up on that. Again, good luck!

Thank you!! What was considered a "good" GPA when you got accepted? I'm hoping mine is good enough.

I am applying for the spring semester 2016 at NAU Flagstaff. Worried about acceptance. Hoping to make a few friends, have not taken Kaplan Exam yet, but have it scheduled in September. :( (nervous)

PM me so we can exchange contact info.

Haven't heard much from other spring 2016 hopefuls. Maybe that's a good thing, seeing as this program is highly competitive. Thanks for the email, we will be in touch.

I'm also applying for the Spring semester at the flagstaff campus. I'm so nervous! I just took the Kaplan last Wednesday and didn't do too great on it. My prerequisite gpa isn't that high either. I'm hoping not as many people apply this semester. Does anyone know what the average accepted gpa is?

I'm going to take mine on Friday. I just took the TEAS so I believe that I know the material pretty well. What would you was hard on the Kaplan?

The science part was very specific and it seems like there's 2 good answers on some, one is the best though. I took A and P back in 2009 so it's probably easier if you've taken those classes more recently. Good luck on it!

Hi Cocobean! The average accepted GPA 3.6 and above and a 85-89 on the Kaplan, with above a 70 on the science portion. It really depends on the application cycle. I just sent in my application. Good Luck!

Tell me how it goes! Good Luck!!

Thank you! I feel like my numbers are low. I have a 3.5 gpa, and I got a 84% overall but a 70% on the science part of Kaplan :( I hope there's not too much competition this round! Good luck to you! I'm getting ready to send mine out next week!
