Hey everyone. I have the option of attending CRNA school in PA, NJ at Lourdes Hospital, or in MA. I have listed 8 schools from all three states and am trying to narrow-down which schools to apply to or not. Tuition cost is a non-issue, so all I have is reputation, ranking, and length of program. Can anyone give me any advice as to whether I should put more weight on length or some other aspect? Just trying to get ideas. My applications are due between April - October 2014.
Thank you!

Have you contacted the schools to get specific information about their program not listed on the website? How important is it to you to have access to clinical sites that are CRNA only? What about variety of cases? Will you be competing with residents for cases? Are you concerned with the amount of exposure you will get with regional, central line placements and the likes? You have a lot more than ranking and length of program to consider. Those should be less important than the cost of tuition - which is a non issue for you so you can see what I'm getting at
Also, for every school I consider, I like to look up threads both here on AN and another anesthetist forum to see what people are saying about them. More often than not, you can find people who have attended and give first hand accounts about their experiences. I've had more than a few schools that I chucked to the bottom of the pile based on information I have found this way. Also looked into others I might not otherwise consider based on the positive reviews they have gotten from other SRNAs/CRNAs.
