My school had 2 semesters of Med-surg, 2 of Acute and Chronic Adult I and II and 1 semester of Complex Care. We also had 3 semesters of Pathophysiology and Pharmacology (separate classes). I find that it's better that way because all the information is spaced out and by the time you get to Complex Care there's a basis and it makes the information easier to understand.
That's just my experience.

I'll be starting nursing school this fall and reviewing the curriculum, it shows three semesters of Med-Surg and three semesters of Pathopharmocology. I think this is a good thing, but I understand that these are the toughest classes. So, should I feel relieved or even more nervous?
