Helo to everyone. I'm new to the forum. I'm a registered nurse in Kenya with over five years experience in all around nursing. I'm interested in migrating to the United States along with my family this year. I have all my certifications. I believe that this will give me exposure and also offer me better working conditions and better pay for quality work. Does anyone know how I can go about this? I'm tempted to pay a recruiting agency, but they want money up-front. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to Allnurses.com.:balloons:
Definitely stay away from any recruiting company that is asking for money from you, actually run from them.
You will need to complete the required exams, such as NCLEX and English (TOEFL series or IELTS series) --- before the immigration process can even be started by an employer. It is going to be impossible to be in the US with a green card this year, especially with the retrogression going on right now.
Please take the time to read the Primer at the top of this forum, it will answer many of your questions.
Dear Suzanne,
Thanks for that warm welcome. I have attended all these classes, passed TOEFL, NCLEX, and now I don't know where to start. Please help. Thanks for that advice also about paying recruiters. Socks

Do you have a Visa Screen Certificate? Which state do you wish to work in?
Your next step would be finding an employer.........but that depends on where you wish to work.
