first off, i'm not asking for medical advice. just opinions from those of you who have, or have a family member with ms. my cousin was diagnosed with ms several months ago after having symptoms for about two decades. she has been given conflicting information about the h1n1 vaccine and doesn't know what to think. two neurologists have given her opposing information and opinions about whether or not she should be given the injection because it's a live vaccine. she lives several hundred miles away and just called me weepy and panicky. i'm not asking for medical advice, but rather, don't know much about ms. does anyone have a good source of more information i could give her to investigate? she's as close to a sister as i'll ever have. our moms were twins.
thanks!

Hi! I was dx with MS 12 years ago after YEARS of symptoms. They started at age 17 was dx at 24.. Did every ABC drug under the sun. My old neuro was retiring so I went To Mayo in JAX. I am 35 now, no disease progression. She looked at my old films and labs, etc.. Ran me through 2 days of testing. I found out last Christmas i was mis dx.-- B12 and D deficient. My old neuro told me to have flu shots (when he thought I HAD MS). I never did though! Hope this helps Kelli

Both attenuated and live virus vaccines will be available. Maybe she can request the attenuated form.
Vaccines against novel influenza A (H1N1) virus infection are being produced using methods similar to those used for seasonal influenza vaccines. Licensure of vaccines against novel influenza A (H1N1) virus will be based on the same licensure standards used for seasonal influenza vaccines, as is done routinely each year when strains are changed in the seasonal vaccine. Both live, attenuated and inactivated influenza A (H1N1) 2009 monovalent vaccine formulations will be available initially; as with seasonal influenza vaccines, neither of these vaccines will contain adjuvants. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and WHO have selected A/California/07/2009 (H1N1) for use as the strain for the vaccines currently being manufactured.

Some advise would be to not take the H1n1 vaccine period for anyone. Do some research on the vaccine and look up the ingedients. I dont know about you but Im sure hell not taking a vaccine with animal tissue such as pig blood, rabbit brain, dog kidney, monkey kidney and aborted fetal tissue. Thats just a few ingredients and if you dont believe me look it up yourself. Its disgusting the government is trying to inject millions of people with a drug that has never been tested. That explans why the makers of the vaccine wont ever take it themselves.

Past studies show people with MS who had vaccines did not have increased neurological problems, see information available through the MS society.

That being said, the H1N1 vaccine is new, and we won't know the outcome until after the flu season is over.

You're being completely illogical.
In fact, the ingredients are probably similar to the H5N1 (avian/bird flu) vaccine.
Here's a link to BIOPHARMA's website which lists the ingredients; http://208.69.231.70/biopharma/full7.lasso?order=485&DB_test=DD&S=&-token=None&-nothing
The only biological ingredients are chicken embryos (eggs), influenza virus, and H5N1 virus culture.
My advice is to stop spreading urban legends.

The origin of this so-called "swine-flu ingredient list" comes from an article written in 2001. The list is actually a list of POSSIBLE vaccine fillers.
http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2001/03/07/vaccine-ingredients.aspx
But according to GlaxoSmithKline, these are the true ingredients and the only animal product I see listed is chicken eggs.
