Moving to Ohio!

I'm so excited to move back "home." DH and I moved out of state shortly after we were married 12 years ago. Since then we have aquired alot...3 boys, a dog, suv, a mortgage, etc! We have decided to raise our family back there! I have been a lpn for 10 years & have always worked in ltc. We bought land in Marysville & was hoping for a little help with making this transition easier. I'm assuming I'll commute to the dublin/worthington areas or even into Columbus for work. Any suggestions? DH would like me to find work before moving (for tax write-offs, etc). Would you start with an agency, to get to see "what's out there," or would you try to get hired by a facility. Does anyone have any suggestions on "GOOD" agencies or facilities in the area?! Also, any info on pay-rates? I would appreciate any & all help to make this move easier on my family! Thanks!!!!!

Welcome back home!! Are you considering working for the small hospital in Marysville? Would you be interested in home healthcare over there?

Thanks for your reply. My options are very open. A small hospital, close by would be great, except....I'm very concerned about there payrate. I hate to put things down to money, but dh is our main breadwinner & will probably be unempoyed for awhile after we first move. Therefore, I'll have to be pulling in as much as I can! Do you know if they utilize lpn's there & starting pay, etc. Thank you!!!!

I have a friend who loves it there and drives from the south of the metro area up north to the local hospital in Marysville for a good place to work. Just an FYI. She is a single mom with 3 kids and says she is doing fine.

That is very encouraging! I will look into the Marysville hospital!

I live north of Marysville but have friends that have been patients at Wilson. They can't say enough good things about it. :)

When I visited there several times the staff were very nice. Everyone I talked to was friendly which you don't always find at the huge hospitals.

Thanks for the info & what sounds to be a great place to start my job search! It is very exciting & scarey to relocate! Any info on wages there or nearby? Thanks!

No I just know my friend said the wages were the same as the Columbus hospitals.
