Moving to Florida

Hi All,

Half way through my NCLEX studying and hopefully sitting exam in Feb 07, Can you give us any hints or advise about the pitfalls ahead of us.

Having read other threads this would seem to be the easy part!!!

Thanks

Cheryl

Paperwork, getting an employer, more paperwork :D and then waiting for interview and medical. Give yourself many months of waiting. Good luck on the NCLEX and :welcome:

:yeahthat: Oh & did we mention paperwork & many months of waiting??:rotfl:

Good luck for your exam - study hard & if you can go to a Kaplan live course 1 or 5 day will really help hone your skills.

You need to have a full head of hair & long finger nails, for all the hair pulling & nail bitting moments ahead.

Try ncsbn.org thay have 3 week on line course it's written by the same people who write the NCLEX, I thought it was a great help.

Good luck with the exam.:studyowl:

I did this as well & actually had a question in the real thing that was on the site & I know I'm not the only one to have had that happen. I used the NSCBN site 4 weeks prior to taking the exam.

However, I think that Kaplan is really good for getting you to think like they want you to & for the most part their questions are definitely in a similar vein. I only did their 1 day course but it improved my test scores from the books from an average 80% to 90% plus!

I did the same course too and it really helped but Kaplan helped with stratergies....but you have to have done thousands of questions to practise for the real thing ;)

Where are you headed?

Hi,

Having visisted the area many times we have decided to try and move there, Due to lack of knowledge we have joined up with Adevia but things seem to take so long with Vermont etc.

Cheryl

I think Vermont got a back log when someone went off sick - hopefully they will start moving again soon. Did they get all your paperwork in yet? Mine was held up by my university!

Get your contact at Adevia to hassle them - they're usually pretty good at chasing things up - especially if Janet's on your case! HOwever, in the long run of things this wait won't be anything like what's to come -consider it good practice for the future! Hahaha!!

I have to say though Adevia have been really good to me..........so far!
