Moving to Arizona

Hi,

I’m moving to Arizona next year and just wondering how the job market is for nurses? I have experience in the hospital on a step down and orthopedic floor and telemetry. I also worked in Occupational health and a little in an endoscopy clinic. I’m taking the year off to care for my son, who I just gave birth to.

You will most certainly find a job anywhere in AZ. Please be careful and choose wisely though. I would stay away from the for-profit healthcare systems (Abrazo Health and Tenet Healthcare). HCA is also a healthcare system that has a few hospitals and is for-profit, but not all of them are bad - their hospital in Oro Valley (near Tucson) is pretty good.

Hi! I’ll be moving to AZ next year as well! I’m looking into staying in corrections! Good luck!

if your in corrections stay away from the jail in florence az.

Good to know, although I’ll be in surprise,az. I’m still looking at the jobs available and considering going back to school. Thanks for the heads up!

Surprise is pretty good, but just a warning - housing is gnarly right now.
