Where are threads moved to when it just says moved and if you click on it you get a weird screen that says you don't have permission?
It is like the thread just vanished?

Oh, if the screen says you don't have permission to see it, then the thread is being reviewed by the mods. It may be returned, it may be removed permanently. If it's just moved to another forum, click on the thread and it will take you to the other forum.

This, after you recieve an email saying that someone responded to your post, and to click on the link to the thread. You click on the link and get what jmgrn 65 described.
It means the thread is being reviewed.
ok then the mods must be reviewing it but doesn't it usually say closed while review. This no longer accessible (sp?) it goes to a screen that says you don't have permission. the thread its self has nothing except moved and click it takes you to what i described. ?
oopppsss sorry you and i posted at the same time.
Yes, you've got it.
It's not the same as a thread being closed. The closures happen because it's against the TOS (medical/legal advice) or getting very heated. The removals are because of something objectionable, or to protect a poster's safety.

When threads are moved to a staff forum, members, when clicking on that thread link, will receive a "non-permission" screen.
If/when threads are returned to view is on a case-by-case basis.
Since there is not a thread specified by the OP and other members in this particular thread, the question, "how long do they stay unavailable while they review?", is impossible to answer.
