Moses Lake!!! I live here!!! lol...are ya'll still around? I just started the RN program (the program program, not the pre req's) out here

Hi, I worked at Samaritan Hospital 30 years ago, so don't have the information you need. Also my Dad was a patient there 2 years ago in the ICU. Had ok care, but complained about the "nurses yelling at him".

Good luck. 30 years ago the Hospital was very good and very bad. It was Isolated- especially in bad weather- and probably still is. We had to transfer critical pts to Spokane or Wenatchee. Often had to ride the Ambulance with them--In those days the nuses worked all the areas. Good lucK

I work at Samaritan. There is a local Community College that graduates ADNs so RN vacanies are usually filled pretty quickly. Salaries are very competitive for the region. Cost of living is less than other Washington communities. Good luck.

Sorry, I forgot to tell you we really need experienced L&D nurses here. Our service is growing faster than we can train nurses.

I work at Samaritan. Moses Lake is a growing community and the Hosptial will also be growing. Currently it is a 50 Bed rural hospital yet does not "feel" that small. Pay is resonable and workload is great. There is a 24 bed Med/Surg, OB is very busy for a hospital this size with almost 100 deliveries a month. We have 4 ORs and are building an endoscopy suite. ICU just expanded to 9 beds with plans to increase to 12 in the near future. The the hospital itself is clean and suprizingly up to date. Cost of living is less than other communities. I think it is an ideal situation, However Moses Lake is pretty isolated from other communities, 70 miles to Weatchee and the same distance to Tri-Cities. It is 100 miles to Spokane but all freeway driving.
