Stars that's pretty cool that you're to call owls

NJ22 I think I've only seen an eagle in this area once

Did the laundry before church.  After getting back from church did the cooking for the week.  Did a little bit of cleaning too.  Tried to exercise but for some reason was very tired and had to stop partway through.  Other wise a pretty quiet day

Today will be starting work early due to being off on Friday.  Hopefully things aren't too crazy.  Nothing planned after work except exercise

Will be warmer today, in the mid 40s

Good morning!

Forgot to post yesterday.  It was not a good day at work as we had a call out and only one tech scheduled.  Our tech situation is grim due to one being out on maternity leave and two quitting.

Today is Waffles follow up with the doggie ophthalmologist.  We ran out of drops a couple of days ago so I'm hoping the infection is clear and we can stop treatment.  Her glaucoma treatment will be for life though and hopefully won't need checks but every six months or so.

I signed the contract to get my Florida room remodeled.  I need to pick out tiles and paint color and the contractor will handle the rest.  Going to get two new doors and a new floor, and some other work done.  Unfortunately he's been called home to Albania because his mom is very ill.  But there is no hurry on my end.  The money can sit in my account and collect interest although I have to start paying it back in April.

Finances are strained lately with the vet bills and the car repairs, and my own medical expenses, all the while I ill timed remodeling,  but won't complain given that so many people are living paycheck to paycheck which I am not.  But it certainly highlights that I'm not sure how I can retire anytime soon.

Stars, that old newspaper sounds interesting. And I envy you having owls to talk to.

Joe, I think seeing a coyote a cool. Occasionally see them around here but we hear them more than we see them.

Didn't have anything good to say, I guess, over the weekend. I ran the oven-cleaning cycle and then scrubbed it out really good. I never have nice fingernails, but they are even worse now. Tried to do laundry but the machine wasn't cooperating with me. I told Hubs I was going to call a repairperson today but then we talked about needing to move the litterbox so it isn't in the way, and he wants to wait until he has made a place in the garage for the new automatic litterbox (for some reason, I won't let him keep it in the living room) ?.... so, anyway, he ran the washer this morning and it worked for him. Oh, well. He couldn't organize the garage over the weekend because he was attempting to replace the backup camera on the truck but it won't work. Hubs recently decided to fix up the basketball goal that is in the church's back parking lot. He spent a lot of time on that Friday, cleaning up and painting the post. He also cleaned and painted the backboard and bought a new rim and net.

I certainly won't be retiring soon. In response to my latest complaint about having only the Jeep (or the Neon, even worse) to drive to work, Hubs says that when I find and purchase a replacement he will get rid of the Jeep and Neon. Hm. Maybe if I get a good tax refund it will help with funding a good used car. He insists we wouldn't get enough out of selling these to buy a car. Then he tells me he thinks he could get $4k for the Jeep. I think he's nuts but what do I know?

It's currently only 47 degrees but expected to get up to 60 after a little cool front came in yesterday. The predicted thunderstorms never materialized but the rest of the week has some rain potential, and we do need the rain. I guess March threatened to come in like a lion but it was the lamb that actually showed up.

It is #1 granddaughter's birthday; she is 19.

Monday, Monday. Hmmm. I guess I can find something to do around the house today. But first I need to get dressed and take Tinker outside to patrol. I mean, for me to get yanked around the periphery of our yard. It always amazes me how strong Tinker is at almost toppling me sometimes. but so far I have been able to remain on my feet during our expeditions,

It is going to be in the low to mid-40's today and rain is predicted, however we have yet to see any, which is fine by me!

Okay, "nothing to say, but it's okay." (Beatles)

I am so tired of coughing. I did manage to walk the dogs, and did a little gardening: I need to get the roses pruned. I went to a meeting for master gardeners, but hung in the back with a mask on. We went out for pizza. We are watching Jeopardy now, and then I'm going to bed.

It was sunny and 50 today. I'll probably be up at 3 am for a bathroom visit and will peek to see if the eclipse is taking place.
