Tweety hope you can reschedule so the tickets don't go to waste

Stars sounds like another productive day

Was at church early yesterday to usher, then came home and did the cooking for the week and associated dishes. Stopped at the grocery store. Didn't exercise as I seem to have injured my knee. Thankfully it seems to be improving. Evening was quiet, just read an old book and didn't do anything else or even listen to music. Wonder if I multi-task too much

Today nothing unusual planned apart from work. Holding off on exercise until the knee is completely recovered

Will be a hot day here, humid and in the mid 90s

Good morning!

Joe, hope the knee continues to improve.

Sometimes, I think it's okay to take a time out and read an old book or watch TV/Movie and nothing else.

I slept in. Must have been tired. Got up at 5:00 thinking I'd go ahead and feed Waffles so I could relax and get up when I wanted to without her bugging me to wake up. We went back to sleep. She's still there and I slept another 3 hours. Just as I was getting up the exterminator got here. I knew he was coming but didn't answer. I'll just let him exterminate the outside since there are no problems inside.

I had pizza for dinner that a patient ordered from a downtown pizza place and it was really good. No one wanted to eat it because it came from a patient but I live dangerously. I forget my system is now delicate but I handled it just fine so far. The patient is my new best friend because I moved him to a room with a view of Tampa Bay.

I'm taking the afternoon off from chores to have lunch with a friend and watch a movie on Amazon Prime. I have to pick out a place and some places are closed on Monday's. I hate being the one to pick out a place to eat. It's also "clean the bathrooms Monday" and I may or may not get that done.

Best friend was able to get the tickets changed to a later date on a Saturday I wasn't working. He said ticket sales are low. Snowbirds are gone so that could be a reason but there might not be much interest in this play. His birthday is tomorrow and since I'm unprepared, I'll just shoot him off an Amazon gift certificate and call it a day and maybe buy him dinner one day.

Have a great day.

Took AM meds when I woke up much earlier, and yet my knees don't feel very thankful about that, and now neither do I. Usually I rest in bed for an hour after I take them, to give them a good chance to take hold, but it seems going back to sleep curled up on my side with my knees bent, doesn't achieve the same goal. I may end up going back to sleep ... or not. But right now I am leaning up against the stack of pillows with my legs straightened out.

And perhaps I should get some help taking the few pieces of furniture left up stairs, down stairs. Even, as Forrest Gump might say, my 'butt-tawks' are complaining today. Apparently those muscles aren't really particularly muscular and are protesting the sudden call to start supporting more weight than usual. Going up and down stairs so much really hasn't been a problem for many years, but the added weight of what I've been carrying downstairs might be the culprit. Live and learn. I just scarfed down a few Arnica pills in hopes of quieting the protesting portions of my anatomy.

I should actually get dressed and take the Tink-girl out, but fortunately she is quietly asleep at the foot of the bed, so that might buy me a little time on that task. The fact that the POD will be here tomorrow is what is driving my push to accomplish more before it gets here. I DO have a week to fill it up. And maybe walking the dog will warm up my body. But, but, butt, we'll see about that in a little while, not yet.

I will, in the meantime, exercise my brain by contemplating what and how to go about doing the next surge of activity.

Later, y'all!

Got the mammogram over with. Next up is the visit to the eye specialist.

Hubs finally gave up on washer "repair" yesterday and found a very similar used washer that he went to pick up this morning. Keeping my fingers crossed but I'm hopeful. I do not want to know what he spent on the attempt to fix the old one.

When I sent a Happy Birthday message to stepson Saturday, he replied with a picture -- he was at a "drag brunch" and would later do a scripture reading at a wedding for a gay couple, then was planning to go to pride, and then a drag show. Busy day but good for him. Indiana is quite red in general but there are communities.

I made deviled eggs last night, thinking it would be a good low-carb snack. I don't expect them to last long with the boys around, though.

Well, off to see what I can accomplish today.

I am currently having a problem with the PODS people. They have not acknowledged ANY of my various messages I have sent them (at least 6 on 4 different of their sites.) They are s'posta deliver the POD tomorrow and there was the word "default' listed by the first payment method on-line. I don't know if it was because of the change of address for the billing method, which I wanted to make sure they had, but I called the debit card company who has no record of PODS request or the amount that was to be debited, and also no decline by them was made. I am desperate for some kind of communication regarding this, because this all HAS TO go through as scheduled. They don't let me talk to an agent because of "a high volume of calls" and suggest I go through the mypods.com site which I have done numerous times with no responses. I am supposedly going to get a call from an agent 'when they can', with a wait time of one hour, but the other day I was in that waiting line to receive a call from an agent, but they never did call back. I have one other option and that is to original number I called, and maybe THEY will answer. You can probably tell I am feeling kind of frantic about this!

Well, after calling every # I had for PODS, I rec'd the very same recorded message which said they understood my needs were important, and suggested I go to the on-line site. After I confirmed my service date, the recorded voice said to go on line after 6 PM tonight to confirm my delivery time. Which is s'posta be tomorrow by noon-ish at the latest.

Pardon me, but I think it is an absolute SIN for them to close off all lines of communication, no matter HOW busy they say they are. #^(*%#*)%^&!!!

This question of payment is crucial because if it isn't going to or hasn't gone through, I will be fined, which is NOT acceptable and NOT 'fine' by me. Regardless of what happens they can be sure of receiving a burning review from me for this absolute LACK of communication. Mah Gawd, what a way to run a business. 👿😱😝

I called the debit card company AGAIN, and this time they confirmed that PODS has rec'd the payment. WHEW! But could PODS be contacted by phone ? Why NO, they couldn't. Did THEY return any of my posts online to confirm the payment has been accepted? Why, of course not! It still makes me PO'd, but at least I did get the answer I needed to hear. I have wasted all 'ephink' morning trying to get this accomplished. It is now 1:33 PM and I guess I should work off some of this 'energy' off by doing some more packing. I really feel like going back to bed, but my adrenaline is still grumbling around in my veins

Now I hope that the wires over the driveway conform to the instructions to make sure there is a 14 foot clearance above the driveway. They look high enough to me, but they do have that dip/sag in the middle, however I have no way to measure their height. I will cross my eyes and hope for the best! BLEH!

Yesterday was a travel day as we slowly made our up the coast, stopping for coffee, gas, and ice cream. Today we are going to visit a lighthouse near the mouth of the Columbia River. We'll spend another night here and then take most of Tuesday to get home. Then I need to turn around and take sis to doc in Seattle, and then eldest ds to a different doc in Seattle. Friday I will sleep!
