Molloy Accelerated Program Experiences

Hi-

I am interested in applying to Molloy's Accelerated Program, I currently have a Bachelor's of Science in Medical Informatics from Stony Brook University. Stony Brook was my first choice (only choice) school, but unfortunately I wasn't accepted.

I was curious if anyone has attended the Molloy program and how long it took for you to complete? How were the classes, professors etc.? I am coming from over an hour away and would like other opinions before I apply :)

Thanks!!

I personally didnt go there but know of someone who recently graduated. He basically told me their program is not really accelerated it can take up to two yrs or more to graduate. It's a tough school but what school isn't. Good Luck!

I was very upset when I called and spoke to an advisor. I have a BA but have no science prereqs. I wil also graduate from LPN school . Molloy has both LPN to BSN and BA to BSN/MSN. I was quoted 3-3.5 years for both programs. WHAT!!!!!!!! Also my LPN school has an articulation with them so I would slide in and probably owe my life to student loans. You know they will make me take 1.1 million classes before giving me their degree. I'd rather come up with a plan B.

Thanks for your quick reply. I was shocked when an admissions rep told me that it would take me about 3 years when I have all of the science pre-reqs and all the pre-reqs in general done, to complete the 15 major courses. I am going to speak to a counselor to make sure this is right :)

Yes you do that. Remember most schools require you to take a certain amount of credits at THEIR school before grabbing their degree. Just check everything. Keep us posted.
