Migration to canada

World Immigration

Hi, I am a male RN from Singapore attempting to find a RN job anywhere in Canada. Could Canadian nurses advise if the job market for RNs is good in Canada. Also I'm stumped by how to go about it. I'm not able to find one recruitment agency that would assist me in my pursuit, I really screened through Google.

I was hoping that there would be agencies that would do the entire process such as finding a job, applying my migration papers and finding me a temporary home etc. It may seem like a far stretch, but when I was trying NZ or UK I had such agencies. I engaged a migration website, I paid US 767 for it and I have a guy feeling that it would be a bogus. I don't know if going to Canadian Embassy here in Singapore is a good idea.

I've got a few questions such as, should I get my employment confirmation before going over or go to Canada to find a job. Honestly I prefer the former because I do not have a endless supply of cash to sustain me in Canada. Another question is, do I really need to get a visa before applying for a job ?

I'm hoping to move by august, earlier the better. If anyone has any insight, please contact me. Thank you.

You need to get your registration sorted with provincial college of nurses and to be honest that s a long process. Each province will have their own requirements. The job market isn't great and most people who go through the process do it themselves. CIC website will guide you on the various ways there are to get here but a lot will depend on which is province you want to live and work in. For a employer to sponsor you for a work permit they have to prove that someone already living in Canada cannot do the job and that process is expensive

But I have never been to Canada. I don't know whare I really want to go to.

Canada is huge and has a variety of different climates. There are the mountains, coastal and prairies are just a couple of examples. You need to decide what you want out of your move and research the various provinces and decide

So how do you know you want to live here?

Urban area have few jobs for local nurses. Some health authorities have hiring freezes. There is no need to recruit overseas anyone who tells you otherwise is after your money
