Hi all,
I was invited to have an interview for the 2020 Midstart program.
Just wondering if theres anyone out there who knows what sort of interview questions they will ask? Will it be similar to the new graduate program questions?

The midstart program is post grad only, i already have my bachelors in nursing. You only get into the uni program for whatever uni once youre in the midstart program
Ahh OK, you see as a NUM with a MHA I did not know that. I'll be honest there are only a few Aussie nurses that gang out here so you may not get a definitive answer, it sucks that the NursePath closed its page as it was a wealth of knowledge, but I have attached screen shots from them of other Australian pages that may be of help.
Have a squiz at the introduction/ learning outcomes for a couple of unis midwifery programs to see how it differs from nursing - I am thinking well woman care vs unwell pt in nursing. There is a big focus on reconciliation action plans in health services so read up on them - check out LinkedIn for some other info.
Best of luck to you!

I can't say specifically what questions they will ask but things that are worth thinking about are:1. Why do you want to be a midwife?2. What is your midwifery philosophy?3. What do you know about the current status of midwifery in Australia & any current developments?4. What does woman-centred care mean to you?
