I was just accepted to my school's BSN program, and they recommend a microscope. Will this honestly be helpful in a nursing program?

For the life of me I cannot imagine why you would need a microscope in a nursing program. Maybe one of the nurse educators on here can help?

I mean, I used a microscope when I took micro as a pre-requisite...maybe that's what they recommend it for?

A microscope for nursing school ... Mmmmm, I would say save your money. Do they expect you to lag it along with you to clinicals and take samples of the patients, cause that is just silly :icon_roll

Nope not in any nursing school or program I've heard of. Call them & make sure that was not a misprint on the paperwork. Perhaps they meant stethoscope & not microscope.
