Micro at TCC??

Please give me lots of info about SWAU!

I'm no where near the point where I can apply to SWAU. I can't afford to take my pre classes there so I am doing that at TCC. I would love to know everything about SWAU. I got an info pack in the mail a while back, but it didn't have much about the nursing program, which is what I had asked for. Are you taking your pre classes there? How much is it costing you? I found that it is pricy when compared to UTA, but when compared to other private schools it is a bargin. I'm so jealous of you. Please keep coming back to tell me what you think of the program.

Well i guess it is more of a pissed off thing, after 10 years ,30 hours of remedial classes and holding the record for taking and failing the math portion of the tasp,im just mad. It would be one thing if you used this stuff for the job but the majority of it you don't. I have come within points of passing and that just makes me more angry.:angryfire

you kill me! why are we so afraid of the algebra thing? I almost wrote that same post yesterday. I am going to start looking into scholorships for swau. the more places i can apply the better!!

I bought the notes already. So they are really important to study? Is most of the test off the notes so as long as I have them memorized I'll be OK?

I got a C in US history this summer and that grade has really blown my confidence. I got the C in a 3 week ITV course.

I'm taking a lot of courses with micro, that is why I wanted to study micro a little before school starts. I'm taking Statistics, US History, English II, and Micro. I think statistics will be pretty easy, not because statistics is easy, but because I have a great teacher. I had her for college algebra and she made it a breeze.

I'm taking Micro with Johnson at TCCS. So are you from New Mexico? I grew up there. I lived in Deming for 5 years and Las Cruces for another 5.

I have heard that statistics from TCC will not transfer to UTA. I would double check that before taking it at TCC. I have also heard that Nutrition from TCC won't transfer to UTA. Of course, this is all hearsay and none of it may be true, but I would definitely check it out. Good luck!! Btw, Micro isn't too bad. The lectures stink but the labs are alot of fun. Don't let it overwhelm you. If you've made it through A&P, you'll make it through Micro. Don't stress!!

I double checked, and statistics will transfer but not nutrition. Thanks! I was going to take nutrition next summer at TTC before starting UTA, but I guess I will apply to UTA for summer so I can get nutrition in.

Since there are a couple classes that I need that are only offered at UTA, I'm transfering there after the spring semester. I don't know how I'm going to afford it, but I'll figure that out later.

And BTW I haven't taken A&P yet.
