Hello all! I have a few questions about the method 3 route to Lvn. I have 30 years experience in the medical field as a CNA/ MA . (I let my CNA expire in 1994 when I got my MA ) Currently, I'm working at a Surgery Center as a Medical Assistant . I have been there for the past 13 yrs. My question is ~ Would my experience working at the Surgery Center count for experience for the Method 3 to LVN ? I work in the Recovery Room , OR, Also do 23 hour overnights . Any information on this Method would be helpful. Thankyou!

I've personally never heard of this method but would absolutely love to hear of others who has and or done it.

Unless someone has a similar background, your question is best directed to a person at the Board. Or, just follow the instructions online and apply. The worst that could happen is that the Board does not accept your application as sufficient.

I have not heard of this method because I am from Maryland, but in California there is a third method to becoming an LVN. I found that out thanks to Google. I would read through both the information on both of these links and contact the board for further assistance.
Good Luck!!
