Mercy College

I'm in a clinical at Owens with a student who transferred from Mercy. She did the night/weekend program. For her, a very negative experience, and not much positive to say about Mercy. Apparently, you've got to set time aside during normal business hours if you want the check-off lists they require to be completed, and other fine-print reqs that affect the schedule. This person is not slacker-she's an excellent student, but now at Owens, and starting from the first semester.

Do have to say, it seems like you'll find someone from every school who really dislikes the place, then meet another who loves it. I think you've got to do your own research, be TOTALLY honest about your abilities/time able to devote, then make it work for you (positive attitude, surround yourself with the helpful people). I happen to really like Owens, and I've done the LPN program, and now in regular RN.
