Thank yall, and I am reading every reply. I have a full scholarship +books to do my AA in pre-nursing then I wll most likely get a 75% scholarship for a upper division BSN program I am applying to for the Fall of 2011. I'm young yet, but have always been good at school and my dream is to be Neonatal Nurse Practitioner, and I currently have a 8 year plan to become one. I do know a baby would mess this up, and I will be greatful if I am not pregnant. But my boyfriend is amazing, he just expects me to pull money out of my majic hat, and when that doesn't work, I don't think he gets why not and that is why he gets so angry.

Thank you for your quick reply. My mother is not conserned, she is one of those "absent parents" and has always been my whole life. First of all I wan to say I am a VERY devoted Christian, but as from the statement that I might be pregnant, you can see where my life has quickly turned. I was a full -time nanny last summer, and a NICU wannabe (candy-striper currently) so I am very good with children, and could raise one (although I would have to move out). My boyfriend is excellent with kids, but is not ready to have one. I will get it checked, but the worrying can kill a person! I am too embarassed to say how short we have been dating. It totally defys everything I believe in as a Christian.

Ughh. Okay, so my nursing inspiration is at 100% now! :) But I am having a MAJOR road block. My boyfriend and I recently started dating and but we moved very fast, very quickly. I love him :redbeathe. He does NOT understand school work. I go to school full time (15 credit) full of pre-reqs and I am a candy striper AND starting a CNA course (hopefully!). He gets angry when I don't pay enough attention to him, if we don't talk on the phone enough, or we don't do 'stuff' enough. We both still live with our parents, and he has a part time job and is thinking about joining the army in August. I don't drive so currently he is very PO'ed at me for having to drive to get me. Well SORRY! Does your boyfriend/significant other get so angry and threaten to break up with you JUST cause you want to go to school to get a job to be able to drive, get an apartment, and raise a family. I am trying to do the best for us! I am also always freaked that I will get pregnant so I want to get as much school done now as I can. I don't know what to do, I love him so much and we will be together forever but I don't know what to do.

From all my job expierience, it's been about who you know. Connections are everything these days! :)

I have my 8 hour orientation for volunteering a week from tomorrow! I am so exited! :) I will be in the NICU which is a level 2. I love babies and plan to be a NICU nurse!

So I posted in the pre-nursing forum, I got in for Fall 2010 early admission! Pensacola Christiand College. Its nine hours aways from where I live, so I am going to stay in dorms. Today I went to Target and the dollar store. A target I got a sheet set (for a XL twin) for $4.98!! That was an amazingdeal! I already have a dish set for 4 but I needed silverware. At the dollar store I bought 16 piece silverware set (for 4 people) and a container to put it in for $3.78!! Then at Bealls (a southern store) I got this thing to cook soup in the microwave for $2.98! I got so many awesome deals! So who here stays in a dorm? What did you bring from home, or wish you did? I go to a state college for my pre-reqs and there is dorms but I don't know anyone who lives there. I am so excited! And I know its early but its amazing!!!!

Age aint nothing but a number.... isn't that a song? I agree with allot you had to say. Those hate'in on us youngins' just for being young are jelous. (I moved to the south and am currently working on my southern accent, FAIL! ) :)

This silly thread stopped sending me emails, sorry! Anyways I know what you mean with a few things. I am young, but also have expierienced ALOT more than people my age. Yes I do not have kids and a husband, but sometimes other things can be very challengeing. I was kicked out, did drugs and drank, watched my prother go to juvi. Dated a guy 8 years older than me for a short time then dated one four years older for a while. Then I moved across country, and didn't know anyone. I started watching kids, gave my heart soal and mind to Jesus! and I live with my parents. AHHH :) and I am still in my teens. I taking 16 credits plus two classes online for my highschool degree. Also I am debating about becoming a CNA next semester while going to school full time! On a side note I agree high school test are wayyy different than college test!

Yeah thats what I thought. I had a part time job 20 hourse a week at a office complex. But now I moved across country and its almost imposibble to find a part time job. I have stuff to pay for (yes I do know i am only 16, but my mother moved out when she was my age and expects me to move out soon I asume.) I have enough in savings got a CNA course. Thats probably what I will do while i am in school.

I am 16 and going to college full time for my pre-reqs. I was able to do this through early adimission due to awesome SAT grades. I will start and upper division BSN program in Fall 2011 after I complete my AA in pre-nursing. Then on get my MSN and become a Neonatal Nure Practitioner. (maybe a DNP after that?). I am a very organized person! Im debating right now on getting my CNA lisence. Its good expierience but I am not sure.

We here all about nursing students who are going back to school and making nursing a second career for themselfs. I have a HUGE respect for these ladies and gents'! What about us young nursing students? I think we have our own set of trials to go through. I am the youngest student in my college (pre-reqs) (due to awesome high school early admission). I do not look that young for my age but when people here I want to be a nurse they are very surprised! Whats your story?

CNA-LPN-ADN-BSN-MSN-DNP --Just Kidding!! I am going to get my AA (Associate of Arts) degree in pre-nursing (kind of like libreal arts). Then a Upper-division BSN program, and get my RN. Then MSN to be a faily nurse practitioner. Then DNP.

I am not sure if I want to take A&P1 or microbiology or both. Because I am going to have to take one of these over the summer. But probably A&P in the spring because I heard it was easier (not by much!)

Im taking in school English Comp 1, College Algebra, Aerican History 1, General Sociology, General Bio /&lab. Online: latin 2. What do you think of Human Bio? my general Bio class is hard enough! lol.
