To be honest, I'm not sure on what top medications may be tested on the NCLEX right now, but I highly suggest studying suffixes of medications as well as indications, adverse effects, and interactions.
Because I took my NCLEX in August, I don't have an exact example to provide, but I do remember being tested on antibiotics.
Regardless, best bet is to remember suffixes of medications, and their respective indications, adverse effects and interactions.

Hi, I would suggest studying different classes, suffixes, common nursing responsibilities and side effects. There's a lot of it in youtube

Hi, the NCSBN shared with the Student Nurse Association an app they created through the Learning Extension which are flash cards of the most common drug classes tested in the NCLEX. They created it because they realized a lot of students had deficits when it came down to drugs. I utilized this app and came up with my own strategy. I haven’t failed a pharmacology exam since. I recommend downloading the app “Learning Extension Flashcards.” Also, if you’d like to know exactly how I learned the drugs and additional tips, you can watch my video on Youtube:

Good luck to you!!
