Medication barcode scanning

We gave up on trying to stick them to our existing band system. Eventually we will have the small square instead of the long barcode that will fit better. We put the sticker on our pulseox probe cable (the disposable part) since it is always attached to the baby.

We use Posey bands that have the patient id and bar code on them. Patient Identification Wristbands | The St. John Companies, Inc.

We also use the little Posey bands.

We also use something similar to the posey band. For med administration we scan a duplicate of the patient armband that is taped to the foot of the isolette in order to minimize stimulation to baby. I always verify armband with the posey band with my first hands-on/assessment.

We also use a posey, but its on the baby's ankle, and it has an extention on it so it can stick out through the opening at the front of isolette so we dont disturb the baby
