Hi Everyone,

I am just starting a thread for MCPHS Boston ABSN program for Fall 2019! Anyone else applying to the program or applied and was accepted?

Hi dimdimaa,

All the MCPHS nursing programs are accredited by the CCNE.

"The baccalaureate degree in nursing (BSN), master’s degree in nursing (MSN-FNP), and post-graduate APRN certificate (CAGS-FNP) on the Boston, Worcester and Manchester campuses of MCPHS University are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, One Dupont Circle, NW, Suite 530, Washington, DC 20036, 202-887-6791."

Hey guys

Has anyone read that article in the globe about the warning that was putting on the school in 2017 about low nclex pass scores??? This has gotten me worried.

Yes, I read that, but it turned out that it was for the longer term nursing program and did not have to do with post bac

Thank you so much!! Do you know more about the program? How the students are treated, the classes instructors etc? At my tour, they mentioned that there are usually great clinical placements and at least one would be on longwood/mgh. Can anyone verify?

Hey everyone! I recently got accepted to the Boston program. I have to take Chem 2 this summer and want to know how people found it compared to the other sciences? Its been a while since I completed the other pre reqs. My options are either an accelerated 5 week course or an online course. I work full time so the accelerated one makes me nervous. Has anyone taken it online?

I just did Portage learning for Chem 2 and landed an A. Def hard, especially with acids, bases and titration, but do able! Finished the class in 5 weeks. I do recommend Portage, they make it easier and take all the fluff out from an in person course.

I'm looking into it now - thank you!

How is everyone planning on paying for this program? For people who are in it now or have graduated recently, any tips?

Hi everyone, I recently found out I was accepted into the program! For those accepted/attending, did you already receive your financial aid?

I recieved financial aid information within a week after getting my acceptance. Hope that helps!

That helps a lot, thanks! Did you complete FAFSA before getting this info?

Hi! I just got accepted to the program! Are there any current students/alumni that can shed some light on what the program was like for you? (Boston campus specifically)
