MBA after MSN

Hello,

I have a masters in administration and a post masters degree as a nurse educator. I have been in leadership for a while but find I am lacking some of the financial and business aspects needed to move to a higher level with confidence. I am just curious if any of you have pursued an MBA and if it has had a positive impact on your career and income and is worth it ?

OP, I received my MSN after my MBA.  As far as career and financial compensation, talk to recruiters.  In my personal opinion, it will not make a difference for you to have 3 master's degrees.

I plan to go this route also. My end game is to start a nursing related business though, so the MBA will be helpful.

Everything I've needed to know, business and finance-wise as a nurse manager, I've learned on the job.

There are some great books out there on finance for non-business people, specifically healthcare finance. A lot cheaper than a degree. ?

OP:  How are you doing?  Did you return to school?

I obtained a MBA after my MSN. I wanted a broader knowledge on financial management and organization-wide perspectives. The program was beneficial and I believe will open more doors to executive-level opportunities.
