Masters/ BSN Question

Published

I did CES and they wrote that my education is equivalent to the "Hospital based Diploma" program. My goal after getting my R.N. license is to get more education, I would like to go for a Masters (NP program "acute care"). I won't be able to do that fulltime, I need some program with as much distant learning as possible ( and affordable...) .

I am not sure how they will value my education and if I will get some credits ( hope so, CES stated that there is the possibility for credits ). When I had a look at the distance programs I saw that a BSN is really possible online but is that this the way to go? First BSN and then MSN?

Thanks for any kind of thoughts!

Check out University of Phoenix, they are used to dealing with International students; and they have several different programs that are available to you.

Specializes in Critical Care, Cardiothoracics, VADs.

Check for programs that have accelerated BSN-> MSN programs (there are lots). I have not had good experiences with Uni of Phoenix. Many universities have online courses (and foreign student entry), so check around online.

I have had great results with U of P. It depends on where you did your initial training.

U o P has a good reputation from what I researched . They are a bit more expensive and perhaps I won't get credits others are willing to give for my foreign education but I will get more detailed infos once I have my license.

Thanks!

They give credit for foreign education in many cases, that is why I suggested them to you. You forget that I am very familiar with what you did before.
