Hi! I graduate in 2015. I am currently in Ohio. I was wondering what the new grad market was like in Mass. I've heard Mass General is a great place to work. Anyone currently work there? Any info would be appreciated!

Mass general is a great place to work, i worked there for two years, not as a nurse tho. Im a new grad now and Massachusetts is over saturated with new nurses right now. Especially in the Boston area. Alot of student nurses who had clinical at mgh tend to get hired there.. they hire usually bsn only and right now its hard to get in there, even for an interview. It pays to network and know someone internally at mgh if your interested in working there. ...
Yea that sounds about right lol. I'm thinking I will just get a job here in Ohio first since I already work as an aid at one of the big hospitals in Cleveland. That way I can get experience and if I decide to move I will have some experience, hopefully giving me a better chance at getting in.

Boston has MANY nursing schools with BSN programs and the market is oversatured with new grads. New grads who were bred here have a hard time finding jobs at the Boston hospitals. Why are you thinking you want to relocate to MA?
Ive never been but I have always been attracted to the New England area.
Well in that case, you might want to visit before you decide to move here. :)

What about experience nurses? I have 2 years icu experience and am moving in august. I'm in Texas for 10 years now but originally born and raised in Boston. Was wondering how the market is for experienced nurses. Thanks for anyone that replies
I suggest applying NOW.
