Can someone please tell me what the scope of practice for a MA is in Texas? I have looked online and can't seem to find the information.

ma's do not have a scope of practice in texas. since they work under the physician they can do what ever the doctors feels comfortable with them doing.

can someone please tell me what the scope of practice for a ma is in texas? i have looked online and can't seem to find the information.

How does that work in a hospital setting? Are they even using MA's in hospitals in Texas? I ask this because I read a thread that got me interested in the topic and cannot find the answer. I guess I could just take the NPA and consider it the same as an unlicensed assistive personnel?

i am talking about ma's working in clinics. if there are ma's working in the hospital settings they are working as techs and by no means taking there own patient load.

how does that work in a hospital setting? are they even using ma's in hospitals in texas? i ask this because i read a thread that got me interested in the topic and cannot find the answer. i guess i could just take the npa and consider it the same as an unlicensed assistive personnel?
