? about Marijuana

A friend of mine tested positive for Marijuana when he was given a Urinalysis. How long does this stay in the system?? I have heard different answers. The UA was done 44 days after his last supposed use. Does this seem right to you?? Any input would be appreciated.

we are sorry for your loss would you like to talk about it?

ok, as a nurse who temporarily lost her license because of drug abuse, yes, if your friend does a UDS, and tests positive, then it WILL be reported to the board of nursing, even if it is just a pre-employment drug screen. also, though smoking pot was never my forte, nor my DOC, if your friend says he hasn't smoked in 44 days, and still tests positive, i would seriously doubt his honesty. thc does stay in the fatty tissue, it is not only time dependent, but also dose....i.e., did he smoke every day?, and/or, a VERY large quantity, for many months/years???? if it is still there 44 days after he quit, then just call him "puff" the magic dragon.

on a secondary note, if he is really your friend, and not just an acquaintance, then why not steer him the right direction by telling him to email any of us that have talked about loss of our license, job, poverty, homelessness, etc. all because we wanted to keep getting high. see the stealing drugs thread in this category, or send him to one of these web sites:

by the way, you ARE NOT guilty by association, i am so thankful that my friends didn't have that attitude, after all, he's still just human.........
