Has anyone heard of a new law, either NYS or federal that would prohibit fulltime employees from having to work mandatory overtime? A coworker has told us about it, says she read it in a newspaper.

we already have this law in rhode island .its been active since march.we had mandatory ot at my hospital.now they can't mandate someone who has already worked 12 hrs.and they can only use it in an emergency situation like hospital internal or state external declared an emergency .they can't use man ot for wholes in schedules etc.
