Man problems

Nurses Men

I've spent the last 6 months in an odd position. I'm a big guy ~280lb with a bit of a beer gut. I'm 6' and a 'shower'. The problem I'm having is that scrub bottoms are either too short, too tight/showy in the groin, or extra baggy. Any scrub brands that work around the boys well?

I am 5'11" and 350 lbs, so I understand.

Best I have found so far is Cherokee Workwear Scrubs Men's Big & Tall Stretch Utility Pant (I found they run a size small, I usually wear 2xl in Cherokee Workwear, but needed 3xl in the stretch). These pants do have a little longer crotch than I like, but they are a stretchy material and the crotch does not tear out like regular scrubs and they are a little more flexible so they don't show as bad as regular scrubs.

I wear Cherokee Workwear Scrubs Big-Tall Unisex V-Neck Tops, they are a little longer than regular tops, so it helps cover up what does show when I bend over.

For a while I was wearing a longer, slick undershirt, but I just can't find one long enough that stays tucked in easily, the slick material lets it untuck too easily. I have some t-shirts that are long enough, but I get hot when I wear those.

I personally can't stand scrubs, never found them to be comfortable at all.

Gray's Anatomy Scrubs work well for me.

Most of them come with belt loops....so guess what? :D

Dickies GenFlex are excellent.

I have a pair of those and I really do not like the placement of the pockets. They are pretty comfortable though.

Stay away from Carhart.

I really like the Cherokee brand that is the soft feel. Don't bother with Barco or Greys.

I also like the Cherokee brand. I am a little weird when it comes to scrub bottoms. I'm 6'4, 250 --- There has to be a happy medium for me. Too tight in the crotch, and the package can be seen. Too baggy in the same area leads to a visual phenomenon known as "False stiffy" (where the crotch of the scub bottom tents up on its own), which is not appropriate in the nursing field as one could well imagine.

Yes, first post here. Gotta start somewhere I suppose! :blackalien:

I second the Grey's Anatomy! Slightly on the pricey end but comfortable and the belt loops are amazing.

Cherokee all the way. Look into Dress-A-Med. Their scrubs aren't as "stretchy" as other brands but they look pristine all the time, have plenty of pockets and are a nice fit if you are a "slim-fit" kind of guy.
