So in less then a month il be leaving to the air force reserves and il be trying to be a med. tech. A popular thing graduates are doing are changeling the state test to become a LVN right out of tech school.(this is in california by the way) i plan on doing this exact same thing when i get back. but my goal is to be a RN, how far would i be with schooling and learning wise to becoming a RN??

I live in Washington state, but if you are an LPN you can apply to the RN program after passing the state boards and maybe finishing a few pre reqs classes (Microbiology, for instance). Once you are accepted to the LPN-RN its about a year of full time classes/clinicals.
This is assuming you would be going for your RN, ADN.
