Lpn to RN

I am looking for an online program for a LPN to RN program and am wondering if anyone else has tried this route. I have a 1 year old and an older son and need to continue working as well, I have heard that online makes it a little easier to go with your schedule. Any advice would be appreciated.

I was unable to do a brick and mortar school I had my LPN and found that Excelsior College in Albany NY did meet my needs. They provided everything you need. I learned more in this program than I have ever learned in a traditional class. I live in AZ and had to do additional clinical hours that my state board required. I am now a RN to BSN student at Arizona State University and have found that the education from Excelsior has really helped me in my BSN studies. If you do EC don't sign up with the College Network. Just sign up with EC and use the study guides to learn from and all the student resources. Best to you as you continue on. It is difficult at times for Moms to do do everything but in the end it is worth it. My 15 year old son told his teacher the other day that school is the one thing that he will never give up- it is his future. The teacher was pleased and my son told him that his mom had taught him that the hard work paid off. You are setting such a great example to you older son. PM me if you want more information.

Hi PrayeRNurse

I'm living here in AZ and I'm just starting Excelsior. I just finished Health Safety and now studying for Transitions. I received my LPN in Utah and just moved here to AZ last month. I have some questions for you. Would it be possible to get your phone number or email? I just signed up for Allnurses.com and not sure what PM means

Thanks and Congrats on your success!

Just had a baby and did EC classes throughout my pregnancy and still am now. It'd be way harder in an in-person college! I Study while baby (AND hubby lol) is asleep!! Or else u won't ever get to imo, lol...
