I don't mean to discourage you. But that program is LPN to associate degree RN. So, first, look at the job market for associate degree RNs. Many places don't hire new-grad associate degrees anymore, and lots are giving their associate degree RNs a mandate to complete a BSRN by a certain date or else be out of a job. Second, look at the cost. There are states with low in-state tuition rates and if you are free to move to one, it might save you a lot of money. Third, the RN curriculum probably is not going to award you much transfer credit, unless you happen to have done a college degree LPN program and not a vocational school one. That's probably true regardless of which college you apply to.

There was one online LPN to RN program when I last looked, like 4 years ago. I can't remember the name. It must have been very expensive because they never would quote me a price. I was told that it generally takes students 3 years to complete it, and that you have to arrange with some local places to use for your clinicals. So, it seemed to me that program was for a LPN already employed at a hospital that would pay her or his tuition and would supply appropriate clinical experiences. Now, a regular BSRN degree takes about 4 years to complete, so why pay through the nose to take 3 years to only have a very overpriced associate degree and then still have to get a BSRN. Price must factor into the decision if you are paying for it yourself, and also most employers will balk paying at private school tuition if there is a lower priced public school available. Some aren't even offering tuition reimbursement nowadays.

I went to RN school instead. (And quit before I finished. LOL)
