*LpN programs in Fl

Hello everyone, I am currently a student at edison state college, at the moment I am trying to complete my pre reqs for when I am ready to enter into the nursing program. like many of you all know it is very difficult to get into the nursing program so im hoping to enter to the program through the bridge program. Now I would like to start looking to enter into a lpn program asap, I was wondering if there were any programs in ft.myers area or even in tampa that I can try to enroll in by sept? preferably less than 10k. Also are all entries into the lpn program the same like based on a point system. example more points if you are already a CNA. Any info will be helpful .Thank you!

anyone???

We are here! We are reading your post! Unfortunately, I live in Miami so I have no tips on schools on the West Coast, where you are. Only advice is to try your local community colleges. Actually, I have heard the Manatee Community College has a great LPN program. If you stick with state schools or in the public school system you will save a TON of money. I went to Robert Morgan Educational Center which is in the Miami-Dade Pubilc School system. It cost me about $8K two years ago. Plus, I got lots of federal grants and stuff. Be sure to apply to ALL financial aid no matter where you choose.

As far as your "points system" question. I have no idea what that is. I do remember that the students who were in my LPN class who were already CNA's were able to skip the first 3 months of the LPN program. The got automatic credit for what the rest of us learned for those 3 months.

Good Luck!
