Lpn program at dorsey

Hello, I'm new here! I recently passed my teas and now getting ready to start at Dorsey in Madison Heights. I have the option to choose between am 8-1pm or 1-5pm , my question is.. how are they with attendance ? Is it easy? What should I expect? How is it during clinical? I can't believe I'm really going to start and I'm super nervous

I attend another campus but the attendance is very strict you are allowed to miss one clinical per module if the circumstances are Litigating. Modules change every 5-6 weeks with a week off in between each module.

It's a rigorous program but with a good study partner or group it's doable. 8-1 aren't necessarily the times you'll stay each day

Two days a week you'll be there 8-1 and the other two days 8-12 and one day clinical 7-3:30.

Not sure about the evening program.

1st module wasn't too bad it was fundamentals and anatomy 1

Our second module was a little bit more intense with health assessment and anatomy 2

Thank you so much. How is the interview and essay process. Any tips on what I should write about? What are they looking for in the essay

We can exchange info what's your email

The interview will be a panel interview.

We had to write a 5 paged essay discussing the normal topics why you want to become a nurse, your perceptions and attitude about nursing today.

What do you believe are the demands of a nursing education and how have you prepared to make this significant change to your current situation?

Your personal background, describe an experience that illustrates what you would bring to the school etc

We also had to give references and we were told after our interview if we would be accepted or not and a $200 deposit was due to hold our seat and for our background check.

Hello I am set to start Dorsey in February how do you like the program so far? How was your first week?

I like the program overall my first week went by super fast it's a little overwhelming the first week because your trying to figure everything out but it's going to go by so fast.

Hello, I have an interview with the instructor. I’m so nervous. Has anyone ever not been successful during the interview and not accepted ?

I’ve never heard of that before I’m sure you’ll do well. Just be honest about why your pursuing nursing, relax and be yourself . They will also inquire about your support system, transportation and etc. You may want to change Your user name to future nurse
