LPN to BSN?

Published

Hey guys, I've been an LPN for about a year. I've worked at a jail for about 6 months now and recently realized there is really no future advancement opportunities unless you have an RN. I thought about going back to school (again), but have neither the time or money and don't really want to go through those check-offs again. I've already completed 3 different degrees and have some of the RN classes completed. Any ideas what I could do? A former gf is doing some kind of self-study program through the internet and then she does a 1 day clinical when she's ready and then takes the test. I wonder if thats something like RUE university and if its legit when looking for a job? I'm not sure how good I'd do studying on my own without somebody "pushing" me a little either. What about LPN to BSN? I'm not really sure what kind of job a BSN could get. I think its a RN too if I'm not mistaken. I do think I'd do better in more of an office or administrative atmosphere. Although I can do the floor work, I get very stressed at times. Any info or where to go for more information would be helpful. thanks.
