Can anyone help me with passing the Nclex test? What would help the best? I have Saunders NCLEX-PN now, is there anything else that would help?

Thanks

I just got through taking my nclex test. My test shut off at 104 questions. I had labs (know your serums, hematocrit, potassium, hemoglobin, platelets and white blood count). I had math. There was alot on cva's and congestive heart failure. I got 2 check all that apply. I didn't get any diagrams or there is now place in correct order which i did not get any either. I don't know if you have a barnes and noble where you live but they had a cd-rom on how to prepare for the nclex and how to relieve your anxiety before the test. I did not get it but my friend said it has very helpful hints on how to weed out the wrong answers. I didn't get it only cause i didn't find out about it until 2 days before the test. I used an online review that i paid $150. I don't recommend doing this. Saunders is your best bet for that. If you feel that you need more. I did get an Nclex Board review seminar Book through the California School of health sciences that helped me out a little bit. I got it through http://www.hprovider.com. It's a 100 for the book. See if you can get just the books without doing the online review. Well i hope that i could be of some help to you. Good luck on your test.

Thanks for the information NurseLisa.I found a website that had some helpful information, but I guess I will just read the NClex book by Saunders from beginning to end and notworry about spending money I don't have on other books.

There really is no way to "study" for the NCLEX. Just get you a study guide with a wide range of questions and do those. One thing I remember is that if you have a pretty difficult question and you answered it wrong then it gave you an easy question right after. Also, don't panic about the number of questions. It could go either way. I've seen people pass or fail at the minimum or the max. Good Luck!
