Does the format of your thread resemble your resume' and applications? If so, you may want to look into hiring someone to assist you with the preparation of documents that you submit to potential employers. Presentation does play a role in the healthcare field and documentation could mean the legal version of life and death with healthcare facilities.

As for your age, what is it? Are you of legal age to work? We know nothing about you. What are your credentials? What experience do you have? Are you a nurse? CNA?

I would love someone to do my resume but I am on a very restrictive income I cannot afford what they want to do my resume so I just try to improve it too things I have read but still nothing good has come out of it, I understand about presentation

I am a lvn with over ten years experience I have done contracts but nothing other than that I do not want to do home care though I have done it in the past

I have been looking for work for sometime now and no one seems to want to hire me, why I ask as i have a lot of experience in many areas but are they looking at my age as a factor I surely would like to know why I cannot find anything but home health which I hate doing sitting in someones home for 8 hours of the day which some homes are not that clean you hold your bladder as long as you can before you explode

any suggestions I ask?

Does your resume look a lot like this post? If so you should get together with someone who can help you make it look better. Writing like this you might not get an interview.

are you a nurse or nursing aide or what? if you have lots of experience but in the areas that aren't hiring you might have to tweak your resume to highlight how you can best fit in where you want to be hired.

Even still, you need to pay attention to run-on sentences. Your entire thread had only one comma and ended with a question mark. Your use of punctuation, or lack thereof, may have contributed to a lot of your applications being tossed into the shredder.

As for being and LVN, have you tried looking into the VA? There are quite a few LPN/LVN positions across the country. However, you will need to have a very strong grammatical grasp, as you will be required to be specific and descriptive of your skills and experience. They tell you up front that they don't assume anything.

You get frustrated with using the VA's website? Are your computer skills weak? Perhaps you can see if there are any charities, schools, or community organizations in your area that offer free computer or writing classes. In the mean time, practice writing here by using grammatically correct sentences.

You might want to consider a college-level English and/or computer course. It will help you with the basics of professional writing and enhance your computer skills. We've all had to take those for advancement. And if you decide to pursue the RN, you'll at least have those two courses behind you.

Most healthcare positions have turned, or are turning, to computerized documentation. If a simple online application process frustrates you, you will not do well in many healthcare environments should you manage to land a position.
