HI all, I am currently looking for a study group in san antonio, tx. I have failed the nclex twice and got 75 questions both times. I graduated in Dec. 2007 with my BSN from the university of a&m corpus christi - located in college station. I am not sure if everyone knows but at this university the HESI exit with a score of an 850 or higher is required for graduation. I had to take this test 3 times before I passed with an 861 in March. I took the NCLEX on May 3rd and failed and got married the end of May. I retested the NCLEX on Sept 19th and failed again. I have just about every book anyone can imagine for studying. The first time I used Kaplan, Med-Surg success, Saunders and my HESI book to study. I had obscure drugs and got about 8 med questions, got 2 calculations and 2 sata. The second time I studied for about 4-6 hours a day for about 3 wks. and read the prentice halls series of books and got a review course online called ATI. This course has assessment tests for each subject and a mentor who emails me and makes sure I study and review before each exam. I vaguely looked at my Saunders book, Med-Surg Success, NCLEX review - Nursing made incredibly easy book, and prioritization/delegation book. I would like to find a local study group in preparation for the next time I take this awful exam. PLEASE REPLY IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN THE STUDY GROUP!!
