Looking for shadowing opportunity..??

Hey, y'all!!

I woud like to shadow a nurse (or two - different areas, maybe) and would LOVE to shadow a CRNA.

My problem is that I'm just a CNA student right now (as some of you already know). Will my local hospital take me seriously, and WHO should I talk to when I walk in there?? It's weird being on the outside lookin' in, ya know?

I'm sure you guys and gals will be able and willing to help me, so thanks in advance!!

Well, I am pretty sure your hospital can set up a shadowing experience for you. For the CRNA...I don't know, it was sort of a major ordeal for us to get in to surgery in my nursing program, BUT, everywhere is different.

I guess I'd call the nurse recruitment line, the recruiters know which managers might be amenable to shadowing. We have them all the time, being in the ED.

If you get nowhere, ask your CNA instructor to call.
