I have my BSN and I am looking for an MSN program. I would like to be a CNO, so I want to go the Master's in Nursing Administration route. I have found many different types of degrees. I have seen many dual degree options including: MSN/MBA, Master's in Nursing Administration/Master's in Management, and a Masters in Nursing and Healthcare Administration. I am leaning toward the MSN/MHA option.
Any opinions on this? Which degree will provide the most opportunities for me?

Where I have worked, the CNO had a dual MSN/MBA degree. I started a dual MSN/MBA but after my first business class, I decided it was just not for me! Ugh...good luck.

My CNO also has an MBA, but she says that MSN/MHA wasn't offered when she was attending grad school.
I am also looking at a CNO or similar position in the future and I have applied to UoP's online program for MSN/MHA. 51 credits and you have a dual degree. I don't think a candidate for a CNO position would be turned down on the type of degree alone. But I don't know for sure. I've never hired a CNO;).
Good luck and let us know what you decide!
