Looking for LPN

Published

Hello,

I have recently started with a home health company in Arizona as an LPN and I work shifts of 4 to 12 hours depending on the the needs of the family and wanted to know if there were other LPN's in Arizona doing home health like this and what they think?

Thanks

If this arrangement is acceptable to you then no problem. Other nurses might want more of a stable paycheck, so the four hour shifts might not appeal to them.

I suppose I didn't write the question correctly, what I was wanting to know if there were any LPN's in Arizona doing home health and what there experiences were.

I havent looked in the Arizona board yet, but maybe you could try posting there if you havent already. Im an LPN (possibly) looking into doing Home Health in the fall (once my oldest son starts school) Good luck.

I work in AZ as a HH LPN for Ped Vent pts and usually work 8 hr shifts but have worked 5hr shifts -non vent case and have been asked to do 10 or 12 hrs on occasion as long as I get my 40hrs I don't mind I take what I can to get my #40 of hrs. But its up to you to accept or not, if you don't want to then decline or say I would be available from this time to that time and leave it at that! You neeed to do whats best for you too and they will find someone to do what you can't!

Hi there! Can anyone tell me what the hourly payrate is for an LPN in Arizona compared to an RN?

i'm not in zona, but typically starting out, it's a $5 hr difference, then as the years of exp progress and depending on the specialty the hourly difference usually widens more.
