Looking for a country

Published

Hello nurses! I am currently a first year nursing student (very excited) and i really want to start planning where i want to go now. I am currently studying in bc, canada but i would like to go somewhere where the health care system is respected. I would really appreciate any suggestions about where a good place to nurse would be. Also my husband is a paramedic so somewhere that pays they're paramedics more than $2/hr would be nice as well. Thank you so much!

Specializes in Medical and general practice now LTC.

I think a lot will depend on where abouts you want to go. Remember his training may not be accepted or he may have to do courses before being accepted.

Specializes in Acute Care, Rehab, Palliative.

Any part of Canada would be great. There are many beautiful places to live depending on what you want.

If you're a student in BC why aren't you considering working there? There are worse places to work, even in Canada.

And where does a Paramedic make only $2/hour?

We need more information before we can even attempt to offer information.
