This is the first time that I will need to have the required CEUs (36 contact hours) since graduating. In AZ they were not required, and since I have been living in IA I used my MSN courses to fulfill the CEU requirement for renewal. Thus summer I have to renew my IA RN license and need 2.2 CEUs still. Any suggestions for cheap or free hours would be greatly appreicated as I have really put this off too long.

Might try myfreece.com. For a fee, i think its close to $36 yearly you can do as many as you want. They are also actually pretty interesting, or you can just take the tests if you are in a hurry.

I get mine through Medscape.com It's completely free and very easy. I'm an LPN, but it works for RNs, physicians, and LPN's. I checked with the Iowa board of nursing to make sure they were legit credits before I did any, and they said it was fine! :)
